DUTIES:
  • Direct athletes as to the direction of the course during the race
  • Provide verbal instructions to athletes where needed
  • Provide assistance in monitoring drafting and other rules, if requested
Volunteers should arrive approximately 30 minutes before the time listed above. Upon arrival, you will check in at the volunteer tent and receive your T-shirt. You can also grab a light snack and some coffee before boarding the bus/van that will take you to your post. Following the race, we will pick you up and bring you back to the transition area. You are then invited to join us at Breezy Point Park for the post-race party and festivities.
PLEASE NOTE:   All volunteers must be registered with the race in order to access Naval Station Norfolk on race day. We will mail gate passes to you approximately 1-2 weeks before the event. Unless you have DoD decals on your vehicle, you will be required to have one of our gate passes to get on base. Therefore, to allow gate passes to reach you by mail in time, please register before May 20th.
